Introduction to Our project
What we did during this project was a lot of cooking. We tried out a lot of recipes, found out a lot of scientist concepts in cooking, and we made a Modernist cuisine poster. We learned a lot of scientific things in cooking such as the mailer reaction, slow cooking process, etc. Our basket ingredients that were given to us to cook with was peanut butter, plums, chicken breast, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. The recipe that we made was a chicken tenders breaded with broccoli and pack breadcrumbs, and sweet potato with plum and peanut butter sauce. During exhibition we went in front of five judges and presented the food that we had to make with our given recipes. We presented our food and said our scientific concepts for it, while we were presenting, the judges gave us feedback on our food, which for my group was mostly good feedback.
This is the Modernist Cuisine poster that my group made, we presented this to the judges with our scientific notations in it.
This is the video we took to show the steps we made to do our recipe.
Some of the new things I learned during this project was to cook new recipes, and new cooking styles. Through out this project we had to learn to make many new things, and make them in various different ways. The thing that I am most proud of in this project was our Iron Chef recipe, because i thought it was very creative and well thought. If I were to do this project again, the only thing I would do differently was to cook the food for the judges right before we had to present it so it wouldn't had looked so weird in the plate.
